The Ultimate Guide To HVAC Project Execution, Estimation & Types Of Drawings

👉WHY DOES MECHANICALENGINEERARE JOBLESS😕

Well, this title The Ultimate Guide To HVAC Project Execution, Estimation & Types Of Drawings will surely attract many engineer and non-engineer, many might be having the answer too...

But what about the solution ðŸ˜•???

Friends this article is to boost my engineer friends who have lost hope in the field of engineering.

Well, we had completed our engineering but are jobless...

Did you asked why😕???

Well first understand this whenever there is low demand and then also you keep on producing the things then you will not be successful in business.

Well as you completed your course but did you studied it so that you can apply it??

Answer from many would-be big noes!!

Well, we haven’t questioned ourselves that whatever the subject we are been learning where it is been used?

Enough of everything now if you are keen to give your life for growth and development in this engineering career than you are on the right platform.

Well before going to interview you need to question yourself whether you will be able to work professionally like others do ðŸ˜•?

And if no, then why would any company will hire you….

Well, we have a 😇 solution for it...

First of all, take a deep breath and select your subject which you love to engage with it.

Basically, this is the  engineering main subject  in which one can make a career  ;

  • 👉Design
  • 👉Thermal
  • 👉Manufacturing

Well, this field is the ways which you have to choose.

Question yourself what is it ???, which I would love to go for it without any guilt for a lifetime.

So let us take my example, I hope this will help you out to choose your path...

So I, as a student involved in the design and thermal subject and one which is very important which I enjoyed learning was refrigeration and air conditioning.

So air conditioning was the subject which I enjoyed a lot to learn but I was also inclined towards design subject, and air conditioning is a subject which falls under thermal.

Basically, I wanted a subject which has a combination of both thermal and design…
Well, I search a lot and found HVAC Project Execution is the topic which falls in this category.

Those who don’t know what is HVAC Project Execution let me tell you that it is heating ventilation and air conditioning system, which is generally part of thermal and design.

So let's come to the storyline again.

So I started preparing the subject called HVAC Project Execution from internet, I made notes and start preparing it.

I also visited my professor several times for it and also did some research on it.

That day I learned that when there is an intention to get something, your investment is worth it.

Well, I completed my engineering and now its time to get jobs or higher studies or prepare for a competitive exam.

Well higher studies actually I wasn’t interested as you need to take some subject and study it but if you are investing in it you need to be sure about the returns and also about will I would love to do it for lifetime.???

Competitive exams are good but this classification based on general and caste categories seems to be less possible to invest into it as I was from the category which surely I won't make it.

Last option is taking up a job.

But friends this option was also very hard as I was inexperience and they suggested to be experienced.

Well, I opened the notes I prepared and started designing an HVAC system for random room space.

I took a bank model room and start preparing the design for it and started presenting to the job recruiter by taking a list from a search engine...

Fortunately, I got a job!!! But the salary was very less.

I said myself to focus just on learning rather than money because once you develop a skill it will sharpen yourself and cut all the difficulties…

So there is something which I learned and want to share with you so that you can choose your path easily.

Well, you don't need to dream the same which I do, if you too do, then here some brief which will help you out …

The HVAC Project Execution field is categorized into three different sections we have to choose in which field you would like to be in.

HVAC PROJECT EXECUTION

project execution

                        HVAC PROJECT EXECUTION

HVAC Project DESIGNING
HVAC Project ESTIMATION
HVAC Project EXECUTION

Well, this is the field which we will explore to get it into details …..

DESIGN OF THE HVAC SYSTEM

DESIGN OF THE HVAC SYSTEM

HVAC Project Execution is sub engineering field in the construction which perform the designing along with others i.e fire fighting(red pipes used for fire extinguish), electrical connection, structural of the building and another consultant.

Before that, we need to know about the flow chart.

Well if a producer or a developer wanted to construct a high rise building he needs to visit the architect which handles the other consultancy.

Architect manages to design wall, partitions, doors, windows in short proper planning of spacing of the building.

Fire fighting engineer looks after the safety of the construction to avoid any fire hazards they design the pipes size, motor selection of high pressure and placement of it according to the height of the floor.

The electrical engineer looks after the wire arrangement on the floor by calculating the electrical load, to select a system which will overcome the load.

Now HVAC Project Execution engineer looks after the arrangement of the duct (a metal box, which passes cool air to the surrounding), placement of HVAC Project Execution system after calculation of heat load and selection of the system which will overcome this load of heat.

As an engineer, we know that vehicle stability totally depends on the vehicle chassis and stronger outer body in the same way structural stability of the building is also important so which is managed by a structural engineer.

Basically, a structural engineer looks after footing,  beams, columns and slab calculation as it has a load of building weight, human weight, system weight designed by various consultancies for building requirement.

Designing of the large building project is an extremely complex task, it may take a month or even a year to complete it, which involves many engineers.

design steps

ESTIMATION

Well, designing of the HVAC system is a responsibility of HVAC consultancy company which also consist of cost estimation.

Estimation is a process of finding out the details of the design drawing and formatting HVAC Project Execution equipment in the design drawing which will be install as suggested by the designer.

Basically, estimation engineer excels all equipment requirement from FCU to ducting and insulation and select the company make suggested by designer and producing total cost required for the project.

EXECUTION

EXECUTION

As we saw that design preference given to the consultant similarly in execution the preferences are given.
structural execution engineer executes as per drawing and completes all the structural development.

plumbing team executes with under construction to conceal their pipes inside the walls and floor dependently.

electrical firefighting and HVAC Project Execution are the consultancies which execute their role after semi-finish construction of the site.

this contractor may also execute their jobs simultaneously with proper coordination.

After receiving design and shop drawing, HVAC Project Execution contracting company hires following

  • Sheet metal contractor
  • Pipefitter
  • Insulation contractor

Initiates the process by arranging the materials at a site according to drawing
HVAC Project Execution contracting companies also purchase all necessary HVAC machines and material to do this, the engineer first carries out a “take of ” i.e they list all the machines and material as shown on the drawing with a specification called as BOQ (BILL OF QUANTITY).

When the installation is completed, the HVAC Project Execution contracting company test and adjust if required.

Lastly, they prepare as build drawing.

Before that, we need to know what are the different drawings.

TYPE OF DRAWING

Well there are a total of four types of drawing

Concept drawing
Design drawing
Shop drawing
As for build drawing

Well concept and design drawing are a matter of concern of the design department
In concept, drawing designer give some proposal to the client related to the selection system for example whether to go with direct expansion or indirect expansion system after heat load calculation.

Depending on it the next drawing is prepared which is called detail draft of design or design drawing which consists of all details of project system used and planning placement of the system in accordance to design of the system.

Well, shop drawing and AS build drawing are a matter of concern of the execution department.

After design drawing received by execution contractor they have to select the different make of the equipment and according to its detail size of the system obtain from selection manual of equipment change the drawing in some operating software under the guidance of design teams and prepare details to shop drawing.

As we know it is less possible to complete the execution according to drawing due to various site issues due to which site execute it with sight change in the drawing without hampering the design guidelines.

If it requires any discussion they have a meeting to resolve it.
So after having some changes by site team they need to highlight on the shop drawing after completion of the project.

Hence it is called as ASBUILD DRAWING.

well, I would also like to warn that the demands of the engineer have been lowered due to high supply. if we learn the skill it will be easy to promote yourself. don`t get demotivated.

you will find many opportunities as you go forward and will be successful one day......
